Looking back, the S3 2000 TC was badly overloaded but the trailer had brakes and the 2000 TC had plenty of torque available :-)

Towed my silver 131 Sport home with my Gold 131 Super about 100 miles  Wink

Great pic Steve  Cool What year was that taken?

Love the Sud Veloce too! I bet all three of those cars are now parked at the Great Italian Car Dealership in the Sky. Cry

Does look good but I think it would look better the other way round.

Hi Simon, wasn't sure to post that pic or not...plenty more where that came from  Smiley

It's 1994 (ish), both cars are "Y reg" 83? Making both cars about  11 years old  Smiley Just look at the rot  Sad

The Silver 131 Sport I bought from my mate's Dad in Dorset (2nd owner), drove it back to Essex, quick service then off to Newcastle for the week on hols, the next year I toured Ireland for two weeks in it (looking for the photos)  That was the best 131 Sport (with no floor) I had.

Eventually the rust defeated me  Sad  There is only so much welding you can do....so I bought the Gold S3 2000 TC from a friend........eventually I had to fit the brake master cylinder & engine from the Silver Sport into the Gold S3.

Just a wicked twist of fate that the S3 engine failed when my Girlfriend was driving so I put the 131 Sport Engine in the S3 Super.....middle of winter.....and I was 24 so I just needed to get to work  Cheesy

Hi Dave,

the other way around? I agree - before the Silver 131 Sport ran out of floor it did this.....sorry for the "old Skool" 35mm pics....

Even the mighty 2.2 Audi Coupe (it was stuck in 2nd Gear) needs to be towed sometimes :-) lucky for the Audi the 131 Sport was happy to tow it form Leicester to Essex so I could "have the 'box apart"....Poor 131 hopelessly overloaded....twin axle, braked trailer - that helped...

Hi Bobby, I lived next door to the pub  Wink  But it felt like I did live at the pub sometimes.

Mick the landlord lent me his garage to "do" a GTV6 that I bought to replace the Gold S3.  Head gaskets, bit of welding - usual stuff.

Did the day job then went to the pub to work on the GTV6 then went in for a beer afterwards  Cheesy
