The Argenta looks from the pictures to be in marginaly better condition Undecided.

Interesting to see the Argenta parked next to the S3 131 Super. The Argenta from the rear is the better looking car IMHO Grin

I would not be a big fan of an Argenta from an angle. I think the S3 Super saloon did make the 131 look a lot more modern for the 1980's, and a far better looking car than the Argenta. The blue 400 does nothing for this car it's one of the best S2 Super colours. I think the solid colours like White or Azzurite blue look very well in the S3 Supers.

What is it that everybody is always comparing 131's with Argenta's? I personally don't like the looks of the Argenta, and i had two in previous times, but it's wonderful to drive. Especially on long trips. No modern car does drive this nice. I like the 132 better. It's got better looks and it's the base for every Argenta.

But what really wonders me is that a lot of members are so full of S3 131's. I think it's rather ugly. All those plastics. They just don't belong. The 131 is a mid-70's car and what Fiat did whit it in the early 80's was optical tuning of an old model.
Better take a look at first series Super. That model is just perfect. Even better then Racing/Sport. It doesn't need anything extra. Just leave it as it is and you have yourself a turn-heads. Wink

Gee you're pedantic Pat today T!!! Grin

I'm sure Mike means the S model..like wot Simon 'as!

I like the phrase optical tuning Mike and to an extent I agree with you. However the engines, interior equipment and refinement of a series 3 Super make it a joyful car to drive. I still remember my drive from Ancona to Limerick in my old white Super and it was a real pleasure ...the car performed like a new car. Smiley

I agree, the original Super is a far better looking car and far better put together. The cheap plastic door handle of the series 3 opens the door to cheap interior trim. On the original Super the solid metal handle opens the door to lovely opulent velour Wink

No Kev, i don't mean the S(pecial). I really mean the Supermirafiori 1600 TC, like the red one you got. The model is just "done". Nothing needs to be added. Not even different rims. The originals are very pretty.
But i like the Special even more. Perhaps because it's the base of my favorite, the Abarth. Wink

I could look at the S2 velour all day long, the blue is lovely but I think the gold/beige is just stunning.

The dash is better too on the S2 Smiley
