I have the same problem, i know the true engine number is above the oil filter but i only have the number cast on the block as above 132 CB 0A0. Where the number should be above the oil filter, the area is blank and has no been ground off its just blank.
So im lost but as i said in general discussion im sure its 1600 tc but out of what i dont know.
So Mark can you check the number above the oil filter on your engine  and you can answer the question for the 2 of us maybe as i have a blank space where the number should be.

Fiat 132  84 bore 1585ccm 72 KW /98 PS build from 1972-1975,and in 1979-1981 for Export to Korea for Kia in 1979 they build 132 in licence, it gives two measurements 84 x 71,5

in RED box  Nr.: 132 CB.OA.O
                         433 56 34

on the body-car Nr. are  131 B1.000
                                    ver 131 A1 T

I?ve measured head valves, so they fit to engine 131 B1.000
So I?m almost sure that it?s my engine.

Does anybody has any info about engine 131 B1.000

Hi mate,

Has your engine got the clutch fitted? 1600tc has a smaller clutch. Also if it's possible to get the timing belt off to count the number of teeth on the belt, this could be another indication.

The clutch on a 2 litre is 215 mm the 1.6 is smaller and the 1.3 is smaller again
